2019-20 Season Highlights

David Leigh’s thrilling 2019-20 season adds four new roles to his repertoire, starting with Timur in Turandot at the Canadian Opera Company from September 28 – October 27, followed by Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin at Seattle Opera from January 11 – 25, the Friar in Don Carlo at Dallas Opera from March 20 – 28, Turandot, once again, at Austin Lyric Opera on April 25 and 30, and May 3, and finally, King Marke in Tristan und Isolde at Santa Fe Opera on August 18.

In the 2018-19 season he made a number of prestigious debuts, including his San Francisco Opera debut as Zuniga in Carmen while covering the role of Vodnik in Rusalka, his Santa Fe Opera debut as the King in Poul Ruder’s The Thirteenth Child, and his Canadian Opera Company debut in the leading role of Turbo in the world-premiere of Rufus Wainwright’s Hadrian, as well as his Sparafucile debut in Rigoletto at Kentucky Opera.
